New Medford High School Building Project - Advisory Team Interest Survey

New Medford High School Building Project - Advisory Team Interest Survey

Dear Medford Public Schools Community Members,

As we continue our work towards building a new Medford High School, Medford Public Schools and our project partners are seeking further engagement with our community stakeholders.

Educators, students, city departments, boards & commissions, and community members are invited to join our Advisory Teams. These teams, listed below, will provide feedback to the School Building Committee and our project partners while shaping the architecture and design of our new High School.

Advisory Teams Sign Up Form

Each team will meet once in December 2025, and once each in January, March, and September 2026. These virtual meetings are expected to last 1-2 hours long and will take place in the afternoon or evening hours.

Exterior & Interior Design

This Advisory team will review exterior design concepts including composition of form and exterior material selections. They will also provide feedback of the products and materials selected for the building’s interior such as flooring, paint colors, wall finishes and ceilings.

Site, Safety, & Security

This Advisory team will review development of the site design for traffic, circulation, safety and security. This includes conversations about parking, driveways and circulation, fields, and offsite improvements in collaboration with City Departments.

Sustainability & MEP Systems

This Advisory team will review preferred Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for the new building, with a focus on sustainable design features, components and healthy materials for an environmentally friendly design.

Educational Planning & Equity

This Advisory team will review overall goals from educational planning perspectives, educational programming meetings and visioning sessions. Please note that this Advisory team is already full and will build from the educational visioning sessions happening at Medford High School this month.

If you’re interested in joining any of these open Advisory teams, please respond to the survey by Monday, December 8. They are part of the upcoming engagement opportunities surrounding the new building project - we hope you’ll join us in shaping this exciting next chapter for Medford High School!

Please also stay tuned for information about how to participate in our community-first strategic plan where we will discuss the future of Medford Public Schools at all levels.

Sincerely,

Dr. Suzanne B. Galusi
