Superintendent's Weekly Memo - October 20, 2023
Dear Mustang Families,
As autumn continues and the academic year races forward, we encourage you to check in with your child and their teachers to stay abreast of their academic performance and social-emotional wellbeing. Working together we can provide the necessary support for our student’s long-term success socially and academically. Mustang Pride is built upon our ACES approach - Achievement, Collaboration, Equity, and Support. Through the collaboration of schools, families, students, and the community we can achieve greatness for all our students.
This morning, the student results for last year’s Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) were mailed to families. Caregivers with current Grade 4-10 should expect receiving these results in the mail soon. If you have not received your student’s results by the end of next week, please contact your school’s front office. The following link provides more information and resources for caregivers regarding the MCAS test:
We encourage our families to take advantage of all the community events that are taking place this weekend. Cherish the seasonable weather while we are able to still be quite active outdoors. Please also consider the social-emotional health of your child: in light of the many upsetting events in the news and around the world, continue to be mindful of and attentive to the content that your student may encounter online or on social media. Doing so will help prevent misinformation and protect our students’ mental and emotional health.
Today’s Memo includes:
- This Weekend: Pink Out Tournament & Head of the Charles
- Halloween Costume Swap at Medford Family Network
