Child Find
Dear Community Partner,
The Medford Public Schools continuously works with the community to identify children who have disabilities and require special education services. Special Education services are available at no cost to any child, between the ages of 3 and 21, who resides in Medford and who meets eligibility criteria.
Children with a suspected disability are evaluated by expert and credentialed professionals such as Special Education Teachers, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Behavior Specialists and Psychologists. The parent, legal guardian, or surrogate parent retains the right to refuse an evaluation and/or services. Parents and students are also provided other procedural safeguards under federal and state law.
To refer a child between the ages of 3-5 (who is not yet attending kindergarten), please contact Cheryl Maiocco at cmaiocco@medford.k12.ma.us or 781-393-2166.
To refer a school-aged child with a suspected disability, please contact your neighborhood school Evaluation Team Leader. Contact information is available at:

If you are no longer involved with preschool aged children, please contact my office and we will correct our mailing list.
Sincerely,
Katie Bradley
Coordinator of Special Education for Medford Early Education Program (MEEP)
